EL INGRESO DE LA INVERSIÓN EXTRANJERA DIRECTA A LITUANIA AUMENTA EN 76%

    Según la estadística de Lituania y el Banko de Lituania el ingreso de la inversión extranjera directa a Lituania aumentó  en el primer trimestre de 2013 1,8 veces más que en el cuarto trimestre de 2012.

Q1: FDI Inflows to Lithuania Rise by 76%

Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to Lithuania in the first quarter of 2013 were 1.8 times larger than during the fourth quarter of 2012, according to Statistics Lithuania and the Bank of Lithuania.

FDI inflows to Lithuania amounted to EUR 269.32 million (3.5% of GDP) in Q1 2013 and EUR 152.89 million (1.8% of GDP) in Q4 2012. Over four quarters (Q2 2012–Q1 2013) FDI inflows to Lithuania accounted for EUR 2.2 billion (1.9% of GDP).

FDI inflows were higher in Q1 2013 by EUR 116.46 million (76%) compared to Q4 2012 due largely to rising reinvestments.

As of 31 March, accumulated FDI in Lithuania reached EUR 11.93 billion or EUR 4,022 per capita.

Sweden is the largest source of foreign investment, accounting for 23.6% of total FDI, followed by Polish (12.9%), German (10.4%) and Norwegian (6%) investors.
