Lithuania has got world‘s fastest download Internet and second fastest upload Internet, recent test results by Ookla, the global leader in broadband testing and web-based network diagnostic applications, show.
With the download speed of 32.38 megabits per second (Mbps), Lithuania is leading Ookla’s index comparing and ranking consumer download speeds around the globe.
In the consumer upload speed index, Lithuania holds the second position (24.41 Mbps) and is outpaced only by South Korea (27.51 Mbps), leading the ranking.
In both of the Ookla‘s indexes, in the category of city ranking, Lithuania‘s capital city Vilnius is an absolute Internet speed leader, and Lithuania‘s second largest city Kaunas holds the third ranking position, following only Hong Kong (Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China) in the dowload Index and Seoul (South Korea) in the upload ranking.
