Lidl Will Open Distribution Centre in Lithuania

The incoming German Lidl low-price food retailer will build its main distribution centre in Lithuania.

The facility will be constructed near Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania. The12 hectare plot is an ideal location for a national logistics centre, at the junction of the key motorways that connect the South-North and East-West of the country and beyond.

Lidl is now in the process of finalising its business arrangements for its future Lithuanian network. A handful of locations have already been identified for future stores that will average 1,200 sq.m. The company plans to open several locations simultaneously with the logistics centre.
